NAMI Tulsa June Education Meeting

Counseling & Recovery Services recently became the only Oklahoma community mental heath center certified in the Sanctuary model of trauma informed care. Dr. Bryan K. Blankenship, Executive Director of Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma, will present information on the Sanctuary model at the June 11th meeting. All of us experience adversity and stress and these events shape our behavior. Sanctuary creates a safe environment where staff, clients and families learn to manage and change behavior and heal from these experiences. Sanctuary also is helpful for staff, clients and caregivers because it provides a common language and tools that everyone can use.
